Against Academic Marxism :
There is a current that has emerged within the universities circles of academics who define themselves as Marxists, what is known as Cultural Marxism. Most Marxist academics are highly educated and come from the middle classes of society.
Academic Marxists separate theory from practice as their academic discourses and writings tend to confine Marxism to the realm of ideas, abstract concepts, and remain in a vicious circle of analysis and explanation.
Academic Marxists use Marxism only as a tool or method for analyzing social and cultural phenomena separate from the totality, that is, the most important law of dialectical materialism, which is the interrelationship between all things and phenomena, whether in nature or society.
Academic Marxists explain materialism as the study of the history of ideas or ideologies that explain historical change, while dialectical materialism is the study of transformations in the productive base (the mode of production) and materialism of society, and also the dialectical principle that determines that the whole in any system determines the parts while the parts do not You can explain all.
Academic Marxists separate Marxist theory from the class struggle and the struggles of the working class and limit them to the struggle of ideas and the cultural struggle within universities and academic seminars.
The nature of universities, as operating within the ideological apparatus of the state and the bourgeois class, produces ideal values and knowledge that serve the capitalist system.
